In all seriousness next season if the Cubs with Baker win it all...Will everyone still be wanting Dusty's head??

yes.

And according to him its longer than just next year...

I'll be back next year and the year after that

That's an extremely arrogant and egotistical attitude.

Sounds like a threat, too, doesn't it? Imagine what that attitude could do to this team with yet another year at the helm.

Does the "somebody" actually have to be his boss because if anyone can do it I'm sure we'll get it done.

It's the Chicago way.

"How dare they expect winning! Nobody should question me!"

Screw you too, Dusty.

this sounds alot like the Nolan Richardson BS at Arkansas. The Media starts riding him a little. . . fans call for his head. . . . . . coach gets all up tight and says things (in richardson's case) if they want my job they can pay me to leave.

Ta da! Done and Done.

Sometimes you get your wish.

Fire the bum before he destroys our pitchers(Prior 132 pitches today).THE COST OF FIRING HIM FAR OUTWEIGHED BY THE COST OF REPLACING A PRIOR.

I suspect Dusty made this statement for Hendry's ears. Dusty is telling Hendry he won't bow out gracefully and he won't willingly be the fall guy for the team's failures. I think Dusty also knows that Hendry doesn't have the balls to fire him.

No. I hate Dusty as much as the next guy but I'll give whoever leads us to a World Series at least a little respect.

Plus, down the road we'll remember the World Series, not the guy who ran the team.

i don't know what solutions there are, but i know that i'll feel better if someone gets fired.

fire hendry while you're at it, and maybe macphail. how many organizations have an equivalent to macphail's position anyway? does he fulfill the owner's duties or what?

throw as much money at billy beane as you can and hope he takes it.

If Dusty doesn't dramatically change the way he manages a game I doubt very much that the Cubs will be winning a World Series. However, if the Cubs win a WS with Dusty I will be just has happy as I would if he weren't the manager.
