I'm out for blood this week after getting blitzed by over 130 points last week.

I'm not planning on shedding any...............

i don't have a spot locked up yet. if i go 0-2 in my final two, and HBC and buddiga BOTH go 2-0, i'd be out with those two (plus tootie) in. one win for me or a buddiga/HBC loss, and i'm in. needless to say, i'm a big nccubbies/SoS fan this week.

i see mota found himself just in time for my matchup w/ tootie.

I HATE Felipe Alou. With the Giants beating the Phillies 5-0 tonight, he removes Lowry after 8 2/3 innings, denying him (and me) a complete game shutout.

Abuck, if I lose to HBC by a few points (like the one week I lost by less than one point), and that costs you a playoff spot, Alou is your scapegoat.

If? You mean when!!! Seriously, though............we've scored a bunch of points for a Monday! I picked up Lieber because of his 2 starts this week. I don't know that he'll have any points once you figure in TBA. You got a QS from Lowry for 7 more, but missed out with Millwood. I got QS from Webb and Zambrano so that's 14 overnight.

How many starts do you have scheduled for the week? I had 9. Two each for Z, Lieber, Vargas, and Webb.

I have 7 starts scheduled (2 each for Lowry and Millwood). I don't have any more starts scheduled until Thursday; Schilling, Williams, and Lopez are all scheduled to start then.

Regardless of which of us is ahead after the pitching scoring adjustments, it looks like we'll have the top two scores in the league after the first day of the week.

We ended up with the 2 highest point totals for the first day. Lieber netted me a whole 1.6 pts! WWWWoOOOOOO!

I can't remember exactly what days my starts are on, but I have 1 more start for Lieber, Z, Chacon and Webb. I also have 2 more from Vargas.

Should be an interesting week.

I believe Chavez may miss Tuesday's game because of the birth of Diego Chavez...............his newborn son. CBS wasn't sure if he'd miss, or not. I won't beat up on him much if he decides to stay home for 1 day. Hopefully, he'll come back racking though!

i would enjoy a week where i'm not looking up at the highest score in the league by tuesday.

Hell.. you're having a great day. This one is far from over.

yeah...right after i bitched, my team hit six homers. moral of the story: complaining works.

nc, believe me, i was pissed last night when lowry got taken out. stupid alou doesn't mind ruining him to the tune of 120+ pitches, but he draws the line at 124! that's a really big swing...seven points at least...

Damn! Duke goes out after 2 perfect innings due to a sprained ankle. The Cards didn't bring the bats at all tonight, and were down 7 after 4. I had a quality start ripe for the taking.

Young gets taken out after 5 IP (100 pitches) and misses a QS. At least Capuano severely outdueled Beckett to give me an advantage there. But Peavy and bad-Zambrano are having great games. If I can hang in there pitching wise, I think my offense is slightly better than the Bulbs' and can pull it out.

Looks like I'll have one more start than I thought (still one fewer than my opponent). Hampton went back on the DL for the Braves (surprise, surprise), so Sosa is moving back into the rotation. Since his start is against the Cubs tomorrow, however, I hope he gets torched. :D

Geez. I just noticed that if I hold on and win this week that I will have 10 starts in week 22. I would have liked to have had those for the playoffs, but I guess I'll take them to help ensure a perfect regular season. And, if I'm not mistaken, that will ensure me 15 starts in the two weeks of the championship round, should I get that far.

There usually aren't many off days that late in the season so most guys will go 3 times over the final 2 weeks (if they aren't skipped).

Buddiga and SOS the worst battle in Roadkill history ? It's 38-30 on Wednesday Night.

meanwhile i've scored 100+ and i'm getting my ass kicked.

have the orioles ever played baseball before? two line drive dp's in as many innings and fat ass colon is crusing. i'm a friggin' QS magnet...somebody had 6 QS in 7 starts against me a couple weeks ago, and now tootie is 5-5.

go nccubbies!

If all holds w/ me and NC we'll be w/in 5 pts of each other at the end of the night. Great match-up thus far. If I could luck out w/ some quality pitching I'd be way ahead. I've had some pitiful starts thus far and Politte had a bad relief apperance today vs Minny.

NC should take the lead tomorrow. I believe he has a couple starts and I only have 1. If I can keep it close, I have a few starts over the weekend. It'll no doubt be close though.

I actually have three starts tomorrow (Williams, Lopez, and Schilling's return to the rotation). It could be interesting, because both Williams and Lopez could have a great game or could get pounded, and Schilling could be iffy. How those starts go may determine the outcome of the matchup for the week. After tomorrow I only have two starts left this week (Millwood on Saturday and Lowry on Sunday). Getting the unexpected start from Sosa returning to the rotation definitely helps me (although it sure didn't help the Cubs today), but you still have one more scheduled start than I do this week.

I'm still mad at Felipe Alou for stealing a complete game shutout for Lowry from me.

Yeah, if my hitters can keep me close through your 3 starts, I think I'll have the advantage w/ extra starts at the end of the week (assuming they don't total 2 pts!).

I think my realistic hopes of winning this week ended tonight. Only Lopez had a good start; Williams and Schilling were el stinko. Looks like another week where I'll wind up with a competitive point total but in a losing effort (a recurring theme with me lately).

After Juan told me tthat my team still had an outside chance of making the play-offs, my team has responded with a dismal effort. I'm not sure whether they are choking or whether they all want to end the season early and party. Apparently the extra money they could earn from the play-offs really doesn't appeal to them :(

Picked up Castilla, A Ram to the DL. [expletive]! Hopefully he's back in time to get him in for the playoffs!
