Did this just start or has it been happening all along?

I was having the same problem a while back. It only happened on one of my computers (Windows OS) while I had no problems with my laptop (Mac). I had to log on everytime I used the Windows computer. It sort of just fixed it self one day though because I haven't had the problem in quite a while.

Started this week.

Did you change anything with your system?

Not that I know of.

I guess I'd suggest starting by clearing out your cookies and seeing if that helps.

It doesnt. I've had the same problems for the last week or two.

I had this problem when I got a new computer a month or so back. (Using Firefox, if anyone is interested.) What fixed it for me was going to the regular forum (not premium) and logging in through there. After logging into the normal forum then switching to the premium UI I stayed logged in even after closing the browser window and opening up a new session. Can't promise it will work for you, but I haven't had any problems since.

It seems as though the premium forum login may only use a single-session cookie for validation as opposed to the normal forum login that uses a permanent cookie.

I had this same problem after letting my nephew log in on my computer last month when we were in Atlanta. It ended after I logged in under the regular interface, just as Bob's Keeper described.

Hey Tim, I don't know if I'm using the right forum or not but I was wondering why a recent post of mine (Furcal leaning towards Cubs) was locked. What did I do wrong?

The post you made was about an article that was already posted in another one of the Furcal threads. The Mods like to keep things neat so they lock threads that are similar.

Sorry everybody about the multiple posts. It wasn't indicating that the original message was sent.

No problem. Everyone is having the same problems.

That's been the case a lot the last couple of days; it happened to me too. Posting is VERY slow right now. One way you can find out if your post went through is, before reposting, you can go to that thread. Even if your post doesn't appear yet, if you hit the Reply button, you will see (below the box for typing your reply) a review of the previous posts in that thread (from latest to earliest). You can look there to see if your post went through.

Confirming the response to your question, we try to keep discussion on a topic to a single thread. It makes it easier for people to keep up with the discussion if they don't have to read multiple threads to do so. When someone starts a redundant thread, therefore, we usually either lock it or merge it into the earlier thread. That shouldn't be interpreted as saying there's something wrong with your post, just that there's an existing discussion on that topic. Normally when we lock a thread for that reason we provide a link to the original thread; I don't know if that was done in your case since I wasn't the moderator who locked it.

This is the first time I've been able to access NSBB in over two days...my connection was constantly being refused before.

to give my advice on finding the emergency board again if you've lost the URL and this site is down:

go to google. Search for northsidebaseball emergency board. use the cached page and you'll be able to get the link from that.
