Greenberg's on the 40 man and has started to play regularly again...

He would be my choice.

Thirded.

Fourthed. Bring that little guy up!!!

Yah, lets bring up a guy who hits 270 in AA...lol.

I agree, its a good move to bring up a guy with .389 OBP and .818 OPS.

agree on all counts. Why the heck are we rushing Patterson back if he does indeed come back??

Corey has started to pick it up at AAA. He went 2-4 tonight to bring his average up around .250. I know it doesn't look all that glamorous, but considering he was under .190 a week or week and a half ago, it's quite encouraging. If he can continue to cut down on Ks, and get the average up, he'll be back in CF by the end of the month.

Everyone knew it would take some time before he got going in AAA, they were "reinventing" his swing and the mechanics that go with it...which will take time for him to master. However, it appears that it's taking effect lately...

I'd take Corey (a legit gold glove caliber CF) with some power and a ton of speed over Macias a hundered times over.

Me too...as soon as we're sure Corey's got this "new" swing down pat. Another solid week or so and I'd say bring him up.

Works for me.

Poor guy has seen all of one pitch in the majors so far. At least he has an interesting story to tell his grandkids.

How's Bacon doing? I know in previous years he didn't hit for much but was fast as hell.

I don't know if you can actually say he saw that pitch.

I have been calling for Burnitz to move to CF ever since Lawton was acquired especially when the Cubs are playing in Wrigley's rather small outfield. Perhaps in more spacious ballparks I could see playing someone else in CF, but with Hairston down, the other option is Macias and his bat leaves a lot to be desired. He would have to bat 7th or 8th if he were to play and that is a pretty big OBP hole at the back of the line-up between him and the pitcher. So for the offense's sake, I think the best patch the Cubs can put on their CF situation is to move Burnitz over and pray for Corey to figure it out soon.
