I know that was a tough series, but Wood, Williamson, and especially Nomar are exactly what we need to give this team a boost.

The first pitch will be thrown at 6:10 and will be televised on WGNTV.

Young LHP Rich Hill will make his second start in the majors against Tom Glavine, who will be making his 592nd start in the majors.

Wow, this game isn't a mismatch or anything. Excuse me if I don't get excited for this rotten bunch of lousy ballplayers. They're going to lose, lose, lose and continue to lose for as long as I'll live. Go out and have a fun time losing tomorrow, you lousy losers.

Fourth place by Monday.

You're a complete and utter disgrace to the uniform you clowns.

To the uniform of the team that hasn't won the World Series in 98 years (and counting). I say they fit right into them

I'm surprised you didn't use Cubs.com's new picture of Hill HHH. It's such a good one:

Are those the same experts that said the Cubs were going to win the World Series last year?

If fellow NSBB correspondent Matt Murton gets in the game then the Mets have no chance.

Thats only if he isn't one of the "chosen ones" to get sent back down.

GO CUBS!!!! If I'm staying up past midnight every night to watch you losers, you might as well make it worth my while!! And arguing that the return of Nomar is worth it won't cut the mustard. I demand a W.

In other news, is there no pictures of Rich Hill chatting to Maddux during the game the other day? I liked that. The way Maddux was moving his arms and Hill was nodding it had an almost like Jedi-in-training look to it.

Why am I starting to lose interest in this team?

Because they don't meet your expectations and you don't like rooting for a team that can't rise to its potential?

This was in Wed's Trib....Sorry

Baker said left fielder Matt Murton would sit against Mets left-hander Tom Glavine on Friday, but will play Saturday against lefty Kazuhisa Ishii. Baker said he would try to get Murton at-bats, but he doesn't plan to platoon him with Matt Lawton, as he did with Todd Hollandsworth.

"We're trying to get to the playoffs, so we're going to play whoever I think the best lineup is against that particular guy," he said.
