A new month and new hope

Will the Cubs catch fire going into the to the last 2 months of the season?

Will they light the rocket to send them to the playoffs or does the rocket say ACME on its side and blow our "Wiley Coyote" sky high along with our World Series dreams?

Will Woods come from the Pen and be lights out?

Will Normar come back and contribute?

Will D. Lee continue his great season?

Will the Lawton trade have an impact in this team?

Will the starting pitching continue giving quality starts?

Will Williamson be a facter out of the pen?

Will the offense maintain consistancy for the last 2 months?

 

Many questions to answer.

All games count even more from now on.

Every win will feel great, every loss devastating.

 

But as true Cubs fans, we continue to have hope.

The Cubs have games remaining against NY, FLA, PHIL. and Houston, its in their hands, they don't need help from any other team to take the WC. The Grail is within their sight and grasp.

Compared to last years team as far as likeability. I like this team much better then last year. I really hope they put it all together for the last 2 months and give us Cub fans a thrill. I believe we have the parts to get it done. We just need the players to perform.

I listened to Bowa today on ESPN radio and he was commenting on how Rose should be in because steroids are worse.

 

To go with the original post the next week to 10 days should be a very time to be a Cub fan. Hendry has some interesting decisions ahead of him and how Baker puts the pieces together should be one hot NSBB topic.

Good Point. I'm not mad that Alou was out at second over running or getting picked off or Sosa getting deeked by, of all people, Jim Edmonds.

 

The only player I have a problem with this year is AmRam loafing once and a while coming out of the batters box.

 

This team has team character, much more then last year and I credit D. Lee, Maddux, even Neifi.

Well, he did pretty darn good at the British Open when he was 5 years old. Saw it on TV myself. :wink:
