Ooooooooooo, let's have some fun with this one. Let's say there's a three way trade that somehow sees Soriano go to Boston and Manny to the Cubs. What would the salary considerations, prospects, and other players involved look like in order to make the deal palatable to all teams?

 

I'm going to take a guess that Texas would have interest in a major league ready starting picher and a center fielder.

This is exactly the type of trade that Hendry would pull out of his you know what at the last minute. I think if the Red Sox want to get rid of a guy, they are smart enough to make the right trade, and for the second year in a row, the Cubs look to be a great trading partner.

The reality that no source is mentioning the Cubs (or any team) as prospective trading partners and this is all random NSBB speculation :) Yeah, I'm pretty deflated as well

I have a hard time believing that Hoops would post over at Desipio. They don't seem to like Hoops all that much over there.

 

While we're on Desipio, does anyone get the feeling that they're a bunch of guys who've been banned by NSBB? The forum doesn't seem to bring much to the table.

It would have to be a 3 way deal. Like:

 

Cubs get: Manny, Weathers and $10-15m

Sox get: Dunn, Mercker, Hollandsworth

Reds get: Hanley Ramirez, Stoppach(sp), Hill, Mitre and Leicester

 

or

 

Cubs Get: Manny, $10-15m

Sox get: Soriano, Remlinger, Hollandsworth

Texas Gets: Hill, Mitre, Patterson and Soppach.
