To the 8th, Jaxx up 6-1

I am already on the record in regards to how great of a broadcaster Ron is, but the names he is pronouncing is impressive!

Sisk hits a homer to the opposite field. Jaxx up 7-1.

Pinto has put up a pretty good line thus far.

With the assist to Aunt Florence!

Wow, what a great action shot! Just kidding, that has to stink. When Sosa was on rehab I could only get to one game. Sosa K'd and then it flooded, game over.

BLUE JAYS FLY PAST CUBS 5-1

Dunedin Starter Davis Romero Cruised Through Seven Quick Innings And The Daytona Bats Never Recovered

By Bo Fulginiti

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla—Dunedin Blue Jays southpaw Davis Romero worked so quickly on the mound Tuesday night that he must have thought he was double-parked.

Romero (4-6) breezed right through the Daytona lineup as he went seven full innings of four-hit shutout ball en route to his fourth victory of the season as the Blue Jays sailed to the victory by a score of 5-1.

Cubs starter Randy Wells (5-2) went six innings in his fourth start of the season, as he gave up four earned runs and fell victim to a pair of two-RBI doubles from designated hitter Robinzon Diaz in the third and fourth innings.

The only bright spot at the plate for Daytona was designated hitter Jake Fox, who accounted for half of the Cubs offense with a 3-for-4 night at the plate including a double, two singles and an RBI.

The Cubs only run came in the ninth inning off of righty Danny Hill, as third baseman Scott Moore doubled and scored on the two-bagger from Fox to keep the game alive with two outs.

With the loss, Dunedin has now taken a 2-1 series lead as they improve to 18-14, while the Cubs drop to 11-20 on the second half.

The two teams will finish up the four-game series on Wednesday, as the Blue Jays send righty Kyle Yates (3-2, 2.64 ERA) to the mound to face Cubs newcomer Chris Shaver (0-0, 000.ERA).

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. EST.

Ryan O'Malley is not the starting pitcher for the Diamond Jaxx tonight. His spot was skipped because of the off-day. Pinto pitches tonight on his normal four days rest. Ricky Nolasco wiill pitch on Wednesday and Carlos Marmol will pitch on Thursday. Jae-kuk Ryu will pitch against the Mudcats on Friday.

Oops, my bad. Thanks, Ron!
