One thing I admire so much about Pujols is how he will just stand there and go down 0-2 if he doesn't get the pitch he's looking for. And then when it's 0-2, he'll still lay off the bad ones and foul off the tough strikes. When some guys (i.e., Corey Patterson) get down 0-2 the AB might as well be over.

Zambrano wanted to go one more, but good move by Dusty. I know our pen is very shaky, but Zambrano's PC is too high.

Z was begging for dusty to let him back out.

 

He went to the bench afterwards with his head down, upset he couldnt play more.

 

Barrett came over and gave him a huge hug.

and Z is awesome.

Guarantee you Z came back to the dugout wanting to head up to bat.

 

I bet the number of NSBB posters saying it wouldn't be a terrible idea to trade Z declined by a bit tonight... :lol:
