Unacceptable baserunning to not run hard and make it home when burnitz made it all the way to second

He would have scored easily if he had run hard

Nah, that was hit right to the pitcher, he probably would've been out.

I think they're talking about the double by Burnitz... from what it sounds like it was hard to know whether the ball would drop in or not. If so, you can't fault the baserunner for holding.

Just to clarify during the inning. Barret would have been out had he run on Cedenos ball--I agree. But he definitely should have scored on burnitz's double--he just jogged to 3rd and then the ball skipped away from griffey and he couldn't react. THE IS NO DOUBT THAT HE SHOULD HAVE SCORED ON THAT BALL

Adam Dunn's begging to be bowled over the way he covers 1B.

I'm not sure anyone's on the Cubs is capable of knocking him down.

Well, in the past, Hector Villanueva could give a run at it.

Come on, get out of the inning, please.

Glenallen Hill would have broken Dunn in half. I still remember him blowing Piazza up on a play at the plate when Mike was still with the Dodgers. Good times. I miss that guy.

I'll give 'em that one. It did look like Junior had a shot at it, and Barrett didn't see it kick as far from the OF as it did. That said, the 3B coach should be making that call...perhaps he hasn't yet learned that 2nd and 3rd no outs (for the Cubs) doesn't mean you'll get the run in anyway!

Ah yes, good choice indeed. I remember that he blasted Piazza real good.

CUBS are 17-8 when Derrek Lee hits at least 1 HR.... 31-38 when he doesn't

Go CUBS !!

A lot of your stats seem to indicate that the Cubs do better when an individual on the team, or the whole team in general, does something well.

Wow, Sportsline is literally going bonkers right now.

Yeah, it's been doing this a lot lately. It's starting to piss me off

why do you guys use sportsline over gameday? :?

When it's working properly, Sportsline is awesome. Gameday is annoying to me.

My Gameday usually freezes up after a couple of batters. *shrug* No idea why, it used to work fine. So now I use Sportsline.
