the chiefs manager got tossed tonight

granato had a check swing on 2-2 and got hit by the pitch

he clearly didnt go around, but the catcher picked up the ball and tagged him out

anthony argued a little, but not much. garcia, the chiefs manager, came down from third base and argued with the umpire pretty emphatically and got tossed quickly. then he walked over and covered home plate up with dirt.

the crowd loved it, as did i.

What's cool at Chiefs games is that it sounds like you can still just hang out on the concourse once you get booted.

I wasn't listening when that play happened, but Baliva was saying later that it was the wierdest call he had seen in a long time. The ump basically just made up a rule at random and applied it.

Did Garcia's getting tossed LIGHT A FIRE under the Chiefs??

also forgot to mention that corey had his right hand taped at the iowa game. doesn't seem too serious, as he still played the field and signed autographs w/ it before the game, which was weird because i heard he hated people and spat at babies.

No but I did hear he almost never signed autographs as a Cub, so its kinda weird.

he signed all the time when he was on the cubs. i got him four spring trainings in a row, and no one signed more than him.

Hey abuck, I picked up Wellemeyer's Cub worn signed cleats tonight for $40!

that's a good score! get anything else?

Vance got an Iowa team signed bat. I also bought a ceremonial first pitch and my friend bought lunch with Ribbee.

lunch w/ the mascot sounds brutally awkward.

they had a pretty sweet iowa team signed helmet at the iowa game the other night. the guy who bid me up on the hill jersey got it for $105, which i thought was pretty decent.

It's all the more awkward when the mascot can't talk.

They had single signed baseballs by every guy on Iowa that sold pretty cheap. I'm trying to line Ribbee up for a Q & A but he doesn't talk. They said he'd answer questions with a dry erase board if we choose to pursue it.

It will be amusing, he'll just have to sit there while people it. So yes, that will be awkward. Maybe he can dance during lunch.

I'm seriously going to try to line it up. I had a great conversation with Jeff (Jaxx GM) last night and he's going to meet with his team on the subject of what NSBB can do to help the Jaxx and what the Jaxx can do to help us out. Thus far Jeff said he'd do a session and see about getting us media access (if course MLB and MiLB have to approve us). I put a request to one of the workers for Ribbee and as mentioned they said he can't talk, but then said he could write the answers. I think pictures and video would be hilarious. FWIW my friend that went to the game bought lunch with Ribbee, which should be a great time!

In honor of Ribbee, I present "The Ribbee Blitz"

That's just not true. I have Patterson on every team ball 03-05...I have a couple of signed cards, a signed picture, a signed mini helmet, and a signed baseball. That in itself disputes the fact that he "almost" never signed autographs.

He could discuss the techniques of his blitz.
