CUBS are 28-14 when they score first,.... 17-30 when they don't

CUBS are 13-5 when they score in the first inning,... 32-39 when they don't

CUBS have been outscored 42-35 in the first inning..... outscored 33-24 in the 9th

CUBS are 8-17 when they hit an opposing batter, 37-27 when they don't

 

Go CUBS !!

Well, other than giving up the solo-shot, Maddux gets out of it.

 

I hope he just give up only that. Giving him an 6 run lead would deftinaly be a great idea, offense.

Hairston looks hurt. I think its his leg from that foul ball. The medical staff is checking him out in the dugout.

Yeah, it caught him between the shin and the foot. Around the ankle area.

At least we don't have any one-pitch at-bats so far. We need to get this kid's pitch count up and get him out of there. This Duke is the real deal.
