Why does everyone have an interpretation of what MVP means. I means hes the most valuable player to his team. Derrek Lee has been carrying this offense all year, he plays D, has good speed and plays smart baseball. I don't think there is a question yet

I know the game is not over and the win isn't salted away, but this hot-cold stuff proves just how fragile this team's psyche is. If they aren't given a full-on loud wake up call (like demoting a regular and a semi-regular), they don't seem to get it.

Yes, even with Dusty managing. If you read between the lines, I think its apparent that Hendry brought up Murton to play (if not to keep him then for a trade). Murton has been rumored to be a part of a trade with the Royals. They obviously have to showcase him. In eithercase, Murton will get into a few games over the remainder of the month leading up to the trade deadline. Edited July 10, 2005 by Blueheart05
