Seriously that was the most rewarding inning I've seen in some time. It's like a kid waking up on Christmas morning and getting everything he hoped and prayed for.

Perhaps Dusty is starting Neifi because he'll barely be playing for the next week too. I think Hendry is really going to start making moves by next weekend. Neifi is playing well today though.

i get that feeling too. as frustrating as neifi has been, you cant argue with the way hes playing today, hes getting it done. i would still like to see cedeno get a nice run in.

Way to take a pitch, hollandsworth.

He had one right in his wheel house. It's good to take pitches, but it's not good to take strikes.

Bull plop. When someone is as wild as Leiter, you take a strike.

But the way Leiter was throwing there was a good chance he could have made him work even more. It could go either way there

Agreed - that inning was a very positive sign and things may finally be turning...

And a first pitch flyout...yeesh.

That's why Holla is best as a 4th outfielder/PH because he looks for one pitch to pounce on! Oh well, Al isn't long for this game

Agree 100%. He walked to batters in row, forcing in a run. then gives up a two run single. Make him work!!

Umm, the Cubs work the count draw walks and get timely hits, while the Marlins retire by the time I get out of the bathroom. Am I in bizarro world??

30 pitches through 3 for Maddux

70 pitches through 3 for Leiter

Are these our Cubs?

I sure hope they see this pattern.
