A perfect microcosm of Indiana so far this season mentally weak and it finally cost them.

Do you believe last year's Indiana team may have been a once-in-a-coaching-lifetime team?  Not to take away from this year's good team but, to hold them to the standard of last year's team may be a little unreasonable?

Oh, I'm defiantly being unreasonable, considering that three years ago I though "IU Football" was spelled "IU Soccer" 😀

Mental thumbs down vote for quoting myself ....

but I remember, as a little kid, playing in the parking lot and looking over at Memorial Stadium and wondering why they had that dump ( for an irreverent sport ) so close to our statewide cathedral. That would be Assembly Hall for you heathens out there.

I'm already looking forward to Texas going 9-3, getting left out of the playoff, and hearing Sark complain about their tough schedule when they couldn't beat mediocre Oklahoma and blew a 14 point lead while allowing 24 straight points at home to Florida. Only reason they still have a chance is Ohio State choked away an even bigger lead to Texas.

So 1, 5, 6 and 7 have all lost and we still have 2v8 coming up. Got to be close to a record of top 10 teams to lose on the same day.

Putting together a top 25 rankings list after today is going to be ridiculously hard.  I really think there are 10-15 teams in the middle you could put in just about any order.

Texas will make it at 9-3 because they played one good quarter vs Ohio State. Sarkisian will not remotely grasp the irony after spending an entire offseason complaining that he wasn't gifted a CFP bid just for playing Ohio State last year.

So 5 of the top 7 lose and of the two that didn't, one went to overtime at home against an unranked team and the other only won because they faced another top-7 team.

So is Miami the new #1? Does OSU leapfrog them? 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7 all lost

Miami probably will be because they're undefeated, but out of the two, I'd give it to Ohio St. They've played 3 ranked teams and their only loss is by a point on the road.

Man am I so tired of my team's only purpose seeming to be to hand other programs historic wins to celebrate

Beat Miami or the season's over (again)

Probably the last year you have to worry about this. I don't see any way a 10-2 ND gets left out of a 24 game playoff.
