Iowa*: LHP Rich Hill (2-1, 3.55 ERA) @ RHP John Hudgins (2-4, 4.62 ERA)

West Tenn: RHP Jae-Kuk Ryu (6-4, 3.87 ERA) vs. LHP Ryan Costello (0-4, 8.22 ERA)

Daytona: RHP Anderson Tavarez (3-6, 5.59 ERA)

Peoria: RHP Sean Gallagher (8-2, 1.43 ERA) vs. LHP Matt Campbell (1-5, 3.94 ERA)

Boise: LHP Alex Santana (1-0, 0.00 ERA, 7 IP)

Mesa: Just a guess - LHP Mark Pawelek (0-0, 0.00 ERA, 2.2 IP)

Serena left me with this info on the Peoria-Burlington game:

Campbell spent time on the DL in June for a posterior strain in his left shoulder.

Gallagher and Campbell were opposing starters on May 16 in Peoria.

Gallagher: 7IPs, 1R, 1ER, 5 hits, 8Ks/1BB, W.

Campbell: 6IPs, 3R, 3ER, 8 hits, 4K/1BB, L.

Gallagher continues to lead the MWL in ERA and is third in Ks with 87. Eric Patterson continues to lead the MWL in batting average at .342 and is tied for third in stolen bases with 21.

For those interested in next week's Peoria Chiefs-Kane County Cougars series in Geneva, the matchups are:

Monday: RHP Grant Johnson

Tuesday: LHP Chris Shaver

Wednesday: RHP Jesse Estrada

Thursday: RHP Sean Gallagher

*IowaCubs.com has Wellemeyer starting today, but he threw 3 innings yesterday.

Only the Monday and Tuesday games are in Geneva, actually. The Wednesday and Thursday games are down in Peoria.

Can't wait for Monday. The only downside is that it'll be hot and I'll be outside from 4:00 until the completion of the 6:00 game.

Tuesday: LHP Chris Shaver vs. RHP Ryan Ford (6-4, 4.89)

and for the Peoria games:

Hi I just joined. I think pawelek will be going today for mesa. I remember watching him pitch in high school. ( I live 2 hours away from where he went to high school). I think this young man has the tools to be one of the best pitchers in the big leagues for a long time. I heard about him about a year ago, and being a baseball fan I decided to go check him out this year. The game I went to he threw a complete game shutout (1 hitter). Since then I have been his biggest fan. Just watching him pitch was great. I had the liberty of meeting him after the game, and let me tell you something he is a fine young man.

Well Just thought I should introduce myself sence I am new around here.

Pretty nice start for the Jaxx. Ryu with 6 innings of 2-hit, shutout ball, Murton is 3-3 with a double, and Greenberg is 2-4 with his 4th bomb of the year. 8-0.

Murton had a pretty awesome night by himself. He was 4 for 4 with a double (17), HR (7), RBI (41), SB (17), HBP, and 4 runs scored.

Oh, and Ryu's final line: 7.2 IP, 5 hits, 0 runs, 3 walks, 5 strikeouts

11-0 the final.

Chiefs win 8-7 with a walk-off RBI double by Eric Patterson that drove in Sam Fuld with the winning run. EPat hit 3rd today with Sam Fuld leading off.

Blevins picks up the win after blowing the save in the top of 9th. Gallagher gives up 2 runs in 5 innings; both runs came in the second inning after he walked two and surrendered two singles. He didn't allow another baserunner after the 2nd, and -- other than the 3 singles, 2 of which were ground ball singles -- the ball didn't leave the infield. Only 1 K.

Simokaitis picked up his first pro hit and first stolen base and started a critical double play in the top of the ninth to escape a bases-loaded one-out tie-game situation.

Attention Eric Patterson fans: He will interviewed tomorrow on the pre-game radio show at 6 pm.

SP M. Avery 1.2 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 1/2

That's Matt's professional debut, no?

I think there should be a pro debut thread. This is getting confusing.

It seems like Brownlie has been very good from the bullpen (haven't looked at any actual stats yet though). Is this looking like his future, and does he appear to be a candidate to debut this year (September Call-up) He'd have to be added to the 40-man, but that's going to have to be done before rule V anyway.

I just looked him up and it appears since coming off the DL, Brownlie has given up 1R in 7IP.

So is Brownlie getting close to what he was in his college years (mid 90s fastball)? Any updates on his "progress"/condition?
