Nice to see that Cedeno was called up for the sole purpose of getting splinters in his butt.

IIRC, he has started one game since his return & if you have heard Dusty has already mentioned that Neifi is his starting SS. Therefore it shouldn't suprise you all that much that Cedeno isn't starting everyday, which I wouldn't have a problem with.

Has anyone else noticed how well holla has been hitting over the past couple weeks? Since june 20th he is hitting .387 and has had some clutch hits. With Aramis heating up finally and DLEE having an MVP season along with Walker's BA we are getting some production deeper in the lineup. If the meat of the order can continue to hit and our pitching stays strong we can hopefully fend off some teams in these weeks heading into the AS break.

It's Jerome Williams! I have to make a confession, when I went to the game, during BP, Jerome threw me a ball and I didnt catch it. It fell onto the field. So he through it again and someone else caught it. I feel so bad :x

Judging by the last shot of the flags, the wind looks to be blowing straight in stronger than the expected 5-10 mph wind.

Absolutely beautiful outside, though. About 69 degrees at gametime with sunny skies.

How long are we going to stick with that line-up? We need some better production at the top.

Probably for the rest of the season unfortunately, unless a miracle happens.

If I was the manager for the Cubs, I would go something like this with the same players, but arrange the top and bottom differently.

Walker

Barrett

Lee

Burnitz

Ramirez

Hollansworth

Patterson

Perez

Thats our rotation, best rotation, probably ever. So where does it start; who does it start with? Z?

what about perhaps dropping lee to fourth in the lineup as such:

patterson

Neifi

Aramis

Lee

Burnitz

Walker

Barrett

Holla

Pitcher

If Dusty refuses to change the 1-2 at least Lee will have Aramis before him to get on base plus if somehow our 1-2 do get on base Aramis can still bring them around. But seeing lee always come up with no one on base is getting so old.

That's what happens to fastballs left up against him. Right down the middle and belt high. Just a bad pitch.

Well, other than the solo homerun, not bad. Just keep them in check for the rest of the day, then we'll call it even, mmmk?

does this mean that lee gets plunked next? Oh, maybe they will hit Neifi or patterson so one of them will actually be on base when lee comes up!!
