What a PA by Ramirez

TBD if he has the game power to be a 1st division starter but he's got a floor of a grindy Tommy La Stella type

I am not going to get my hopes up that Sanders sits 95 now.  He was probably amped up and also isn't fully stretched out yet.  HOWEVER

- Last year in 79 innings at Iowa Will Sanders did not throw a single pitch above 95 MPH

- Tonight Will threw 5 of his 8 4-seamers 95+

- Last yeat at Iowa Sanders averaged 92.4 on the 4-seamer and 92.0 on the sinker

- Tonight the slowest fastball Sanders threw was 93.1

That was a majestic dong from Kade Snell, who has looked really good all spring.

Getting sent straight to SB out of the draft was a tough assignment.  Hopefully with an offseason under his belt he can come back and conquer it.

Wing looked great.  As you'd expect with a teenager too many non-competitive pitches but he has a chance to be a dude.

Didn't light up the radar gun but the ride on his fastball is elite. Bunch of 21/20 IVB. Changeup also looks very good.

Wing had some 95+ fastballs, though.  Not fast by big-league norm.  But not bad for a fastball with good ride; and for a kid who's been 19 for only a few months, and who probably has physical maturation left.

Wiggins has been a strike-thrower.  If his fastball improved a little bit, the combo of good location with improved velocity is appealing.

I think this was, in addition to the IVB Plaid pointed out, the notable thing to me.

The quality of that fastball was all over the place even just over the course of a single inning.  This is a young guy who still has projection but also more straightforwardly some experience-fed mechanical consistency probably goes a long way.

What I thought Killian was supposed to be (and was for like one ST outing a thousand years ago.)
