I know he left as a precautionary measure, but was there any further word on it?

They said on the post game show that he was sent for X-rays which were negative. No further word.

What happened to Aram? I missed the game today just saw highlights and they didn't mention anything.

He was plunked just below the knee on his left leg. He walked down to first in obvious pain. He was taken out as a precaution.

WGN is now saying that it is a bad contusion. His status is day to day.

great, so he probably sits tomorrow.

Can Neifi play 3rd?

Not sure about Neifi, but Macias plays third, and I'm pretty sure that Cedeno does too.

Maybe Corey - Neifi - Macias can bat 1-2-3 tomorrow. :pale:

Since Prior is pitching, we may see Blanco, too.

Hope Aramis heals up quickly.

It's been great to have Ramirez play like he's compable of doing the last month or so. It would be a huge blow to our already mediocore offense to have his bat out of the lineup for an extended period of time. The only positive out of this is the potential for Cedeno to maybe get some AB's at 3rd or Perez shifting to 3rd and Ronny at SS. But I fear, we'll see Macias in there for any period of time.

From Fanball.com:

Jul 1 Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez left Thursday's game against the Brewers after the fifth inning after being hit in the knee by a Chris Capuano pitch. X-rays were negative and he has a deep bone bruise on the shin below the knee, reports the Associated Press.

My favorite part of all that is the number of at-bats for Corey and Neifi. 100+ at bats in a month when you're playing that poorly. Wonderful.

Well he probably won't play tomorrow thats too bad cause I'm going to the game. But at least I get to see Prior pitch. I was at the Zambrano 138 pitch game, and also I got to see Maddux pitch great against the Pirates only for Latroy to blow it in the 9th.
