There is seriously nothing more amazing than being at Wrigley when the Cubs get a walkoff win.

I was there too! Where were you sitting?

Let's go Cobs! :D

*3000th post. :D

I was waiting for that pic.. Thanks for posting it.

For those who are interested who's pitching for this game, it will be.

Chris Capuano, LHP (7-6, 3.22)

Greg Maddux, RHP (7-4, 4.56)

So let me be the great prognisticator.

Todd Walker (really good, but lefty) will be benched

Corey (slumping beyond all slumps, lefty) will play

Hairston (will sit even though he could start)

Perez (will play, cedeno will sit)

Dubois will start (and he should).

This is where I give Corey the night off, play Hairston in CF, and play Walker since all he is doing is hitting.

My lineup, we'll see how close I am.

Hairston

Walker

Lee

Ramirez

Burnitz

Dubois

Barrett

Perez/Cedeno

Maddog.

Now an alternative if Cedeno plays could be this:

Hairston

Cedeno

Lee

Ramirez

Walker (to protect Aramis)

Burnitz

Dubois

Barrett

Maddog

Would anyone complain with either of those lineups?

Can Dusty hire me to make up the lineups?

Tommorow I think we'll see Cedeno starting at SS. We'll also see Hairston starting either in CF or at 2B depending on which lefty Dusty wants to give the day off. I figure Walker will probably be the one who sits. Dubois will be starting in RF.

Is it possible Dusty will sub in for 3-4 regulars? (Perez, Walker, may Patt, and Dubois)?

I've been to 4 games in the past 1.5 seasons where the score was tied in the 9th, and each time I've hoped to see a walkoff win, and they lost everytime :(

At game time, it will be 88°F (and feel like 93°F). During the course of the game, the chance of severe thunderstorms will rise from 10% to 40% and temps will reach 90°F. Lovely weather...

Haha, with the way Dusty makes the lineups lately, isn't it desirable to want his throwaway lineup in there?

This means you get Dubois, Hairston, Cedeno and Barrett (considering the rate that Blanco is catching our starters)

I think Maddux winds up with Barrett tomorrow.

Prior gets Blanco on Friday.

Williams and Barrett on Saturday.

Toss-up on the catcher on Sunday for Z.

Why are people projecting so many off days for people? We're 4 games from the All Star Break. Our guys will get their rests then.

Mark, actually there are 11 games left until the All Star Break, but a good point, none the less.

Let Ronny out of his cage. He won't bite.

The Brewers are pitching a lefty so Cedeno will probably get the start. I'll be very disappointed if he doesn't, particularly because the Nats will be starting only righties in the next series.
