Will they come remotely close to scoring a run tonight?  I saying no.  This didn't age well, completely inconsequential run but, hey, at least they scored a horsefeathers run.

Yep, and probably a guy who will not be in the team tomorrow. That pitcher will probably go 2, anyway. That would get them to 6 and then the last 2 filled by pen arms per usual. I don’t see the pen being tired the rest of the series as an issue. At least not because of this game.

At least one positive is it sounds like Cade Horton will be pitching tomorrow. Game 3 starts at Stupid O’Clock, 2:05AM. So Game 2 would be perfect lol.

Couldn’t wait to post this, could you. I mean after Taillon’s first stat he strung together 6 starts where they were either a QS or he gave up less than 3 runs but maybe only went 5.1. So obviously you were silent then. He is hardly a bum. He is just a MOR starter who didn’t have it today. He gave up 4 solo homers today. Yes, that isn’t good. But those should have been the only earned runs he was charged with.

You mean the last 6 times he pitched? No one is suggesting he is a TOR starter. He is a MOR starter. Suggesting he is not good enough to be a starting pitcher is easy to defend against because it is a very stupid comment.

If you don’t want him to use quality pen arms for fear of losing them for later in the series he has to use guys he doesn’t have in his circle of trust.

It's how a guy who doesn't trust his stuff pitches, just a terrible acquisition by Hoyer, all the data screamed he's done.  Yet, Hoyer ignored it all, next off-season I'd like to see him stop getting washed-up Astros' relievers.
