Thought I'd dust off this thread after the double-switching yesterday that took our two best hitters, Murton and Walker, out of the lineup in the 5th inning. Great move Dusty.

up until that point, i really thought dusty has had a pretty good year, for him. the lineup on friday was pretty decent under the circumstances.

really, the use of bynum has been my only major complaint. he could've used hairston in most of those instances instead, iirc.

I'd put Ramirez and Barrett ahead of Murton in terms of our "best hitters", but your point is still made.

 

Barrett wasn't in the lineup, and Ramirez was struggling at the time.

We're already seeing it with Ronny. If he's going to make the 2 slot completely useless by sac bunting all the time, the least he can do is put someone like Neifi there who has little chance of helping the team unless he is sac-ing.

yeah, but ronnies only going to have to bunt if pierre gets on, which will only be 28-29% of the time.

Not really, but Dusty was really nice and classy to me this weekend. I feel I owe him that much. :D

Dusty has +10 charisma in person. I can see why people/players rave about him.

 

I wish he could find a rod of +2 intelligence.
