I’d take the last start without the BABIP unluckiness.

I'm hoping he gets a couple of ticks back on the fastball, too.

Not that PCA is a finished product offensively, but it sure feels like he was just pressing to start the season at Iowa to try to impress, and the 2023 MLB 0-fer probably didn't help. Now, after getting sent down on a positive note, I'm expecting him to put up some really good numbers at AAA for a month or two.

Hot take: all of our outfielders getting hurt in April saved (jumpstarted is probably more accurate) PCA's season and gave him a needed pick me up

I was coming to comment on that, saw the box and did a double take. Lit up the zone, apparently only threw 77 pitches, 54 for strikes. Definitely looks like a guy despite his age and profile. Somebody the Cubs want to get a good look at. The funky delivery actually looks effortless. I'm intrigued.

Andddd that's why I refuse to get excited about Brennan Davis.

Even if he ends up being a dude, he's only going to play 75 to 80 games a year.

He's the Cubs version of Eloy Jimenez.
