I’m not really sure who they’ll target but the AD better get this one right or he’ll be out of a job soon. Normally the big money donors would be forcing their pick on the AD but I don’t think that’ll happen this time. Mike Elko at Duke was our DC when he got that job. I know he isn’t necessarily lighting up the world there but it’s still Duke. If he can have decent success there imagine what he could do with our resources. As much as I’d love it no chance they’d go with Prime. The old crackers with all the money could barely stomach Kevin Sumlin and Deion is way more brash. While I believe the AD will get to make this hire he still has to deal with those fat cats so he’ll have to go with someone he can sell to them. 
 

EDIT: Dan Lanning is a name I’m hearing. Not sure if that’s more of a wish or an actual target but he’s got the SEC background and who would want to stay in a conference that may not exist in a couple years.

Dan Lanning may well go to A&M but his team will be in the B1G next year, I think it's safe to say that will exist in a couple years.
