I know it doesn't feel like it right now but this was a pretty successful season. Going into the season, I had the Cubs at 78 wins and instead, they were in contention until the final day of the season. It's a bummer how they got there and there are serious questions about 2024 but overall, this feels like a step in the right direction.

Are they really going to start Steele in this meaningless game?  Shut him down.  He was great, but has really faded down the stretch.

Lotta work to do this offseason with pitching (bullpen) and getting the corner infield situated.

Also, be interesting to see if pitchers that were on IL most to all season will be ready to go in ST or at some point next season. Marquez, Heuer, Roberts, Burdick, Hughes, Wieck, Carraway

I know it doesn’t mean anything but it’s always cool to see the young guys get in the lineup the final game of the season.
