Jordan Wicks scratched from today's start, reportedly non-injury related

 

PCA also not in Iowa's lineup but is still with the team so probably not a call up.  Wicks might be.

With the ACL season over, Brennen is continuing his rehab at South Bend.

4 walks for Horton and I'm not sure he's gonna make it out of the 4th

That was weird. They showed he walked a 2nd guy in the 4th but changed it shortly after. 

 

Really nice to see him and Ferris matching excellent starts again.

Horton: 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 6 K, 76 pitches

So at this point, who can we conclusively say is a better pitching prospect than Horton other than Skenes? Painter before the injury is the only one I can think of.

Horton is second to Skenes at ESPN and BA. Fourth according to Pipeline with Harrison and Painter ahead of him too. I think Misiorowski is the only other name I would even entertain right now.

That said, Harrison is already in the majors and Painter's complicated injury year + TJS would put him behind Horton for me too.
