I don't know anything about Bido but at a glance, he looks like organizational fodder. He's 27 years old, has spent parts of three seasons in AAA, and owns a MiLB ERA of 4.40.

Looks like the good matchup for the hometown team tonight.

And you gotta figure the guys who are supposed to be hitting who have been slumping badly like Nico, Happ, Seiya and Dansby.....at least some of them will start hitting...there were signs last night.  HAVE to have that happen starting now!!

Yeah, the clock is ticking and this entire division is reeling. If the Cubs can make a run at .500 over the next month, they can be buyers at the deadline.

If they don't, hard to envision anything but selling.

Absolutely have to win this game tonight. Smyly starting. Pirates with a non-entity making his MLB debut. Brewers and Cardinals have already lost today. 
 

These are the games a team that wants to get back in the race have to win.

I know playing match-ups (kind of) worked out last night,  but there really is no need to treat this minor-league journeyman like prime Chris Sale.  Just put the best lineup out there.
