K swinging (fastball), K swinging (curve), 5 pitch walk, groundout

Brown almost surely done with over 80 pitches. He had a weird habit of losing fastball command on the 3rd hitter of each inning.

Wow Ben did not appreciate me having Wicks ahead of him

Also what's with all the Wednesday day games in AAA?  Wednesday is my in office day and I swear more than half the time I sit down to eat lunch and there's an Iowa game in progress.

Riley Thompson seems to be formally switching to short relief?  I noticed he piggybacked a couple times and didn't go very deep, which I attributed to him getting roughed up.  But if today is any indication it looks more intentional than I realized prior

It’s crazy how quickly starting pitching has become a strength of the farm system. Adding Brown, Wesneski, Horton and Ferris over the past twelve months is quite the infusion of talent.

Horton walked fellow 2022 first rounder, Eric Brown, to open the game but then got second round pick Robert Moore to hit into a DP. 95-96, showed a changeup to the 3rd hitter before striking him out with a fastball at 96

Eric Brown spit on 3 really good sliders that AB. It’s almost like he knew they were coming.

Here’s the K.

If that's true that's huge.  117 is pretty elite slugger territory.

Yeah, that's a big boy HR. It had to be hit pretty hard because the launch angle kinda sucked watching the video. It was just a laser leaving the yard.

Eric Brown has not been fooled even a little bit by Horton, walloped a 94 HR for a HR. The first one was oppo, this one pulled and a no doubter

It seemed like he was getting away with some pitches over the plate at A-ball and this felt like it was bound to happen.
