Horton isn't gonna be in Myrtle Beach long.

1st: K, BB, K, infield pop up

2nd: K, K, broken bat GO

Broadcast claims he's hit 98

GO, K, GO in the third.

he's only at 32 pitches

Yeah, Horton's stuff is just too advanced for Single A.  Have to imagine he's ticketed for High A as soon as it warms up a bit more and he can go deeper in games.

Fun to have Horton dominating.  And fun to have a good-stuff pitcher who might have good control.

He's pitching backwards and dropping breaking balls in the zone on top of throwing the fastball for strikes too.

Horton's 4th:

BB (imo he threw 4 strikes)

10 pitch BB

pop up

K

Yeah, Horton was squeezed on the first BB.  Second one was just a really good AB by the hitter.

Cold night in SB but Gallardo pulls out 5. He gave up a couple after Made opened the 5th with a throwing error. Soft contact, groundballs, oppo air balls and line drives, ugly swings, lots of strikes…You could see the impact of velo, couldn’t beat guys with 93 up like he was last start at 95+

5 in 2/3 starts, something older guys are still building up to or trying to reach (pretty sure it’s just Brown and maybe an Iowa Cubs starter so far)

Jensen went 5 yesterday

I haven't been tracking all of the games and evenings.  You're saying he was 93 tonight in the cold and wasn't quite getting it past guys?  Whereas previous outing he was 95+ and was getting some up-fastball swing-and-miss?  Helpful info, assuming I'm understanding it correctly, thanks.
