The only one I remember was Palatine Oil Company.

Our little league was the Pony league set up. We had sponsors like Moose Lodge, funeral homes, banks, local pizza joints, athletic apparel stores, etc. My hometown even hosted the Colt League World Series (15-16 years old) for several years, which actually drew great crowds.

My kids played a few years of little league in our current city in Northern Virginia, and they typically use the major league names. Although one season, the Nationals sponsored the league and every team was the Nationals, just different colors.

Am I the only one that played for like Bob’s Hardware and the F.O.P. or some bike store when I was a kid? I always hated the kids who got to play for real team names

kids in my town prayed they got to be on the Burger King little league team because they got free cheeseburgers after every game

Any of you have the annual “Little League Parade” where teams decorated pickups.   Nothing like cramming 12-14 in the bed of a pickup and driving around town.

When I was playing little league IA, we were sponsored by the local bulk foods and quick grocery hotspot, Granny's Grocery.  Said Granny turned grocer was also my bus driver.  We lost most of our games.  😞

My league had random team names until either the year after I stopped playing or the year after that. Because I don't think I ever had an actual MLB team name but my brother (4 years behind me) did for at least a couple years. I know he was the Cubs once and he wasn't happy about it.

Somehow in 3rd or 4th grade, the league I played in had actual team names, and I ended up on the Dodgers, complete with legit jerseys and hats.  Before and after that, made up teams with sponsors; no idea what the hell happened that one year.

When I was in LL I was on the Red Sox and Cubs. The Marlins and Rockies were not in existence yet.

Now that you say that, I think I was the DiamondBacks one year as well. I guess growing up in 90s it must have been trendy to get this recent expansion teams as the LL jersey.
