When you're sliding into home and your pants fill up with foam...

Should this go in the Work Jerks, rant?

How many games will Rendon be out this year?

Apparently 4.

While the meatball would have deserved it, Rendon was really, really lucky he did not make contact with his swing.  Frankly, it shouldn't be a surprise considering Rendon' start to this season.

Dylan Dodd held the Cardinals to 1 run over 5 innings and got the W in his MLB debut. Pretty cool for a kid whose HS has about 400 students. I'm a grad of the same school, and they let school out early today so people could go see him pitch since it's about a 3.5 hour drive from STL.

This is such crap. Real ballplayers like Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb went into the stands to fight fans. Why are we penalizing this stuff? Personally, I think successfully beating up a fan should add a run to the team's score.

Still haven't figured out how to post a tweet.  So here's a link to an article with the tweet embedded:

After just 11 games, the Rays have a +63 Run Differential (83 R, 20 RA)

The average score in a Rays game is 7.5-1.8

The A's have a -53 Run Diff (36 R, 89 RA)

The average score in an A's game is 3.2-8.1

More fun with the Rays:

the team OPS is .944

the team ERA is 1.73

8 players on the Rays have already hit 0.5 fWAR or higher

The team has amassed 7.3 fWAR in just 11 games

I am not calling the Rays a bad baseball team, but it would be cool to see them play major league teams for a change.

I hadn’t looked at their schedule. Woof! Boston is a decent team, but a lot of teams besides the Rays would have a decent chance of going 9-0 in 9 games against the Tigers, Nats and A’s.

That’s 9 straight against teams that will probably all lose 95+.

Sure, their opponents were bad, but those are still some breathtaking numbers

For sure. Like you posted, it's not like they're squeaking by in each game by a run or two. They're doing what a good team should do which is hammering awful teams.
