Old articles

Would anybody be interested in the old front page articles? I found around 100 of them in the old databases that haven't been ported over yet.

 

To be clear, I think Duke's articles from 2016 are the most recent ones. The oldest ones I've found are from 2006.

We actually have a bunch ported into this system, I just haven’t had time to do anything with them yet.

Though I haven’t looked to see what date ranges we have imported. You could very well have material I haven’t come across.

You may have them, then. I found them in the "xxx_content" tables in the joomla1 and joomla3 databases.

I flipped both of those databases on and opened permissions. Obviously, a lot of work needs to be done there but it's live and viewable.

AKA, the 2016 Cubs season.

I still remember writing an article called "2009: The Pre-Playoffs" where my thesis was the division was bad enough the Cubs were definitely going to win it and the season was all about preparing to not crap out in the playoffs for once.

I don't think I wrote any more after that.

I remember writing a couple articles back in the day. Wouldn't mind seeing how poorly they hold up...
