Best case impact could be KR*

*if he finally just kneels it down.

Welp.

Returning kicks from the first 5 yards of the end zone is pretty clearly a coaching philosophy at this point. No matter who the KR is, they're being told to return it instead of kneel

Do you mean for the Bears or NFL as a whole? I’d like to see some stats on percentage of returns that pass the 25. We’ve been doing this for a few years and can only remember 1-2 returns that actually got us good field position but can remember many more that are stopped inside the 20

The Bears. The other 31 coaches aren't this stupid (well, a few are)

Seems like Fields is holding the ball too long again. Can’t see who is open though

Feels like our WR's never get quick separation. I'm kinda shocked by how few slant/drag routes are in the gameplan

There was nobody with *any* separation on that play.

That was a really good view of what was happening down the field. I’ve got a feeling receivers aren’t open a lot of the time. You can’t expect Fields to magically throw deep receptions when receivers can’t get any separation whatever.

Yeah zero. Safety didn’t even have to cover anyone.

Yes we saw the replay. But not just this play. He’s already scrambled 4 times in 8 drop backs. Again I don’t know who is getting open and at least once he was pressured in a hurry

Seems like Johnston has been commenting that there's nobody open on most of the scrambles.

I feel like I’m on solid ground assuming nobody is open on a lot of plays. It’s a low-tier receiving corps.

Sure but Fields has been missing open guys all year and is being criticized for holding the ball too long when film is being reviewed. It can definitely be a bit of both

If you’re suggesting that I’m saying fields is OK and it’s all the receivers fault, that’s not what I’m saying.
