I'm shocked you guys even watch these games anymore.

Yeah, I listen almost every day and watch occasionally. I love baseball and the Cubs even when they suck it’s better than whatever else is on TV.

Schwindel tried his damnedest to GIDP for the third consecutive plate appearance. Saved by an E5. Edited by PackLandVA

They get a run on a bases loaded BB. But once again with a runner on third and less than 2 outs, the cubs can't capitalize. And can't put the ball in play either with Bote and Velazquez striking out.

All tied at 1.

I know Schwindel was a good story last year, but there is no need for him to be on the roster for the second half of the season. The Cubs gave him a shot, but it is pretty clear that he isn't the answer at 1B. Rivas probably isn't the answer either, but the Cubs might as well let him play nearly every day to at least find out whether he might be a useful piece going forward.

Despite 9 straight losses, I saw Nellie’s laser to gun down a runner at home, Morel’s energy to start a rally, and a clutch Nico with a 3-hit game including the game winner in the bottom of the 8th. Oh, and a win is always satisfying to me.

Unless it’s a national game, I can’t watch it because I have a streaming service. I’m not paying for a package for this team. My Cubs interest is pretty much MiLB threads these days, ala the Darwin Barney era.

I'm sort of in the same boat. I mean, I get why people who love baseball would want to watch their favorite team play baseball, especially now when there's literally nothing else going on. But I just can't bring myself to watch. I just have no interest in this team right now.

I'm "enjoying" this team more than the last few mediocre seasons because the system is building up and there's some fun, young players on this team

I’m not going to tell anyone how to fan. I mostly tune out the games but if I happen to be doing something else I’ll occasionally have the game on in the background. Sometimes my kids ask me to turn it on. Never a priority and never emotionally invested in it but I’ll miss baseball in the winter so I dont have a problem watching an inning or two here and there.

I have not watched more than a few hours of the Cubs this year, but there is a definite irony to people coming into the literal game thread on the message board about the team playing to be like 'lol what are you guys doing here'. It's incredibly easy to just...not make those comments, especially here of all places.
