I didn’t know Cueto was on the Sox. Most of us probably won’t watch but in case something worth discussing happens here you go.

A team has swept the season series only twice since they started playing in 1997:

1998 Cubs swept the Sox 3-0 at Wrigley

2013 Cubs swept the Sox 4-0 with 2 games in each location.

Sox are up 2-0 with 2 to play

It took 3 batters for La Russa to start complaining about a clearly correct call - tried to bitch that Happ impeded Grandal throwing to 2nd on his follow through when Happ made no contact whatsoever with Grandal

I remain all aboard the Morel train. Even though it didn't turn into runs, that was a hell of a job drawing a walk against Cueto to load the bases.

Thompson living at 94 even in the fifth inning and 70+ pitches makes me really want to see him just hang out in the rotation. I believe he did similar against the Padres.

I'm keeping my guard up since he's *so* far beyond expectations but it's really exciting. The patience is something I never expected. He's got a lot of swing and miss, but if he can stay patient he does enough for it to play as an everyday guy. Something like Chris Taylor.

Colossally inept managing from TLR to leave washed up Cueto out here to face the heart of the order a *fourth* time with the bases loaded

I can't believe how much I'm enjoying TLR ruin whatever chance the Sox have despite their talent.

He’s the antiJoe Madden, even though he wasn’t that great either.

Is he "Dusty-like"?

He used to be the the ultra micro manager which he still does with the lineup but he once could manage a bullpen. Now, he's bad at everything.

And can Simmons hit the ball on a fly out of the infield???? I've asked before, never got an answer, and have yet to see it happen.

As bad as Madrigal was and how little room for error he has to be productive, I'd take him 10 out of 10 times over Simmons.
