I didn't watch the game but was Pat at least playing great defense that also wouldn't show up in the box score?

TBH he was pretty invisible. But also have to remember he's still getting back into shape due to his injury, and this is the 2nd game he has played with most of these guys.

I can see it being quite difficult to assert himself among those 4 starters offensively but am hoping maybe his rebounding ticks up at least. In 28 minutes that is quite the empty box.

the game got tight, like 8 or 10 points, and it feels like I was paying more attention to my phone for a couple of minutes and now they're up by 30

I think Zach might legitimately be a top 10 player in the league. His defense may never be better than average but if you can average 33 points on 18 FGA like he has so far this year he’s in that very elite class.

The last stigma he needs to shed is that he’s a point scorer for a bad team. Wasn’t true last year as he was an extremely efficient scorer but if you can add a Vuc and DeRozan and you’re still averaging 28+ efficient points a game, that label is going to go away quickly

So, uh, the Bulls might be pretty good.

I’m sure the refrain will be “you beat the Pistons and pelicans” and I’ll say “no we didn’t beat them, we destroyed them”

Man, Caruso caught a pass at the top of the key while he was in mid-air and managed a perfect chest pass to the corner behind him before he landed. That feels like an extremely tough play to pull off and he made it took simple.

I know there's more to playing defense but bad defender Vucevic has 10 STL+BLK in the last 2 games.

Ball is putting up big defensive stats too

Vuc is not a bad defender. He’s a slow defender and when playing with wings who can’t get over screens, a liability to your pick and roll defense. But he positions himself well, uses his body well, and alters shots without fouling. He’s also a solid defensive rebounder.

I was discussing this with some friends last night...How is Coby going to get playing time? Who is giving up minutes? TBJ is the only guy I’d maybe like to see reduced minutes from. Maybe you can rest DD more and insert Coby in with the new bench mob to provide the instant offense.

Yeah TBJ and Ayo will probably be the odd men out (they are kind of splitting a role now). But it should be short term as they showcase Coby for a trade for another big.

The bench mob has been great but I think they can benefit from more offense, especially because right now DeRozan is carrying the scoring load for that group. He will still play with the bench group but it will give him an opportunity to rest a bit more. I think Coby will fit very well with that group.
