The funniest Bears win was the one in 2010 I believe - the Packers committed something like 15 penalties and I believe it still required a Julius Peppers blocked field goal to secure the win. That's how much crazy horsefeathers had to go right for the Bears to win in those days.

horsefeathers I looked it up and it was 18 penalties. Lmao.

Hmm I don't remember the blocked FG in 2010. I remember the Bears forced a late fumble to secure the win. You may be thinking of 2008 when it was like 3 degrees out and the Bears needed a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Bears blocked a FG very late to win that one, but of course they lost the next week to miss the playoffs.

How about the 2007 win where the 5-9 Bears pulverized the 12-2 Packers

2018 SNF week 1 still kills me

that first half was some of the most fun i've had watching a regular season game. mack was an absolute maniac. shiny new nagy offense looking decent. knocked out rodgers. i still don't really comprehend the fact that they lost that game lol.

It's funny, I can't recall many signature moments from Urlacher that are good but I can always think of 3 bad ones. Those being, getting trucked by Bettis, juked by Brady, and getting tackled by Aaron horsefeathering Rodgers in the NFCCG on what should have been an easy pick 6 in a game in which our offense had no horsefeathering chance to put points on the board.

Other awful moments vs these fuckheads would be the bomb to Cobb and the moron defense staring at a live ball on the ground for a good 10 seconds.

Psychologically it sure seems that they have our number. We play tight AF vs them. And Nagy's game plan is usually foiled in 2 drives at most. Need some mystic intervention this Sunday.

he's an horsefeathers, to be sure, but this is still weird.

The Denny Green AZ game, where he stole the ball from the RB and Tillman took it for a TD. I think that pretty much drove poor Denny insane and the resulting press conference after the game is legendary.

That's the one I really remember.

I don’t think either team is very good, but one of these two is going to win the division by default. Probably the Packers, but I wouldn’t be shocked if the Bears snuck out a close win here.

I want to revise up my Bears win total expectation after the Raiders win, but I still don’t see much more than 7 wins on the schedule.

That's how I feel right now, but I feel like the Packers have a chance to flip a switch and just coast to the division and probably an NFC championship game as usual, especially when they get healthy. And they're already 4-1 without playing very good football so far.

The Bears' hopes seem more dependent on the defense being healthy and great, while hoping Fields can play mistake free football on the way to redzone efficiency and 20-17 wins. I think the Bears can sneak out that type of game here. But I don't think that's the only way they win. I honestly feel like Fields is capable of another game where he's throwing the ball down the field on these guys and the Bears can actually outscore them if the D doesn't break in the redzone.

The Packers seem to be even more dependent on Davante Adams than ever, as no other WR or TE is even averaging more than 2 catches per game, except Randall Cobb who just has 11 grabs in 5 games. Would love to see Jaylon Johnson follow Adams around and cement his probowl season, because them getting him in the slot to work over Duke Shelley all game scares me (though bracket coverage with Jackson or DHC wouldn't be the worst thing).

Definitely hard to come up with good moments from a 1st ballot HOF LB, 4-time all pro, 2x DPOTY, who led his team to a Superbowl.

for me, that one comes to mind, the fumble return at the falcons in his second year (although all he really did was pick it up and run), and just him chasing vick around in that freezing cold 2005 game when rex took over at halftime.

one that also always comes to mind but wasn't that big of a deal was his TD catch when he lined up at TE... i think that was against the redskins in 01?

Didn't Walter Payton's ghost block a game winning field goal? I think this one broke a pretty long Packers winning streak over the Bears.

yes, this is that game. WP died on Nov 1, 6 days prior

Bryan Robinson with the blocked punt?

field goal

FG fake I think.

That might be one of my most favorable Lach moments which is kinda weird.

The Arizona game he had 19 freaking tackles. He was a monster and all over the place

I don't know what is even meant by signature plays. Brady juked Urlancher in an otherwise meaningless regular season game against the Pats, got trucked by Bettis in an otherwise meaningless regular season game against the Steelers, and the play in the NFCC game he made a nice play to get the pick and got into a position where only Rodgers could stop him from scoring a TD. Why pick 3 random bad plays and forget all the ridiculous plays he made in his career as others are pointing out.

Also, damn you for making me defend Urlacher

The Packers have had the Bears number seemingly my entire life, with very brief exceptions. It would be nice if this was just a normal game, a normal balanced rivalry, but the Packers have just owned the Bears the last quarter century.

That's one of the benefits of being old, I legit remember when the Bears dominated this rivalry.

I'm old enough to remember the Packers (Bears) in the 70s and 80s as well. Being in a household filled with Bears fans, the 80s were especially tough. The Bears absolutely dominated the Packers, although I did get to see in person one of the Packer wins at SF (pre-Favre). I don't know how some of those 1985-1989 Bears teams lost to anyone.

The games against Michael Vick. Urlacher’s lateral speed shutting down Vick’s scrambling. Especially 2005. Horrible cold December game in Chicago. You could visibly see Vick’s desire to be out there fading away.

Yeah, Urlacher had signature games:

- 2 sacks of Culpepper and like 3 tipped passes vs. Minnesota

- The aforementioned Falcons game where he looked like a better athlete than Vick

- The aforementioned Cardinals game where he made like every 2nd half tackle, 2 passes defensed, 3 QB hits, 3 TFLs

He had signature plays:

- 85 yard pick 6 vs. Favre

- Pick 6 in the Tennessee route featuring several Peanut punches

- The forced fumble in Arizona that Tillman scored on

Forgot that former Packer DC Mike Pettine was now on the Bears' staff. Advisor role, I believe. Wonder if that will have any significant impact to the outcome of the game.

Didn't Urlacher have a big tackle game against the Lions? I wanna say like in 09 or 10. I remember him just making a bunch of tackles in a short span that kept the Bears in the game and they came back to win. That game still stands out to me that nobody has mentioned yet.

Plus he had a similar game like Culpepper against Minn, but it was against Tarvaris Jackson a couple years later. I think they lost that game though.

They couldn't keep McMahon healthy, but it wasn't until Don Majkowski we could always beat the lowly packers.

I still say he crossed the l-o scrimmage!
