combined no-hitter for south bend (2 innings for vizcaino, 6 innings for nahas, 1 inning for burl)

2 dongs for nelson velasquez, who has pretty good numbers this year but his BB/K ratio is terrible.

Did we know that Eury Ramos got the bump to Tennessee? He had an inauspicious start but good to see him at that level.

Jared Young is probably nothing, but he got the start at 3B tonight, and suddenly gets a little interesting if he can make that work.

Brendon Little's last 7 outings:

13.2 IP, 17 Ks, 3 BBs, 1 HBP, 1 DONG, 1.97 ERA

I don't know his groundball rate over this time, but it's I'm the mid 50's for the season, so odds are it's been pretty great over this stretch too.

Velasquez has 16 HR. In 79 games.

Triantos got a couple of hits.

Nahas has pretty modest walk rate.

Vizcaino was stretched out to 2 IP, his longest outing. 3K, no hits no walks, although one HBP.

I really don't understand this so any clarification by anyone is welcomed. Kids who are good enough to get drafted as pitchers have pitched a lot and have strong arms or else they wouldn't get drafted, why are these guys only pitching two innings? I could see a pitch number limit, but this kind of thing does not make intuitive sense.

A) He wasn't drafted, he was a cheap international signee by the Yankees a number of years ago.

B) He was on the IL all year with an arm injury and just started rehabbing prior to the trade.
