The Cubs announced they’ve placed right-hander Ryan Tepera on the 10-day injured list with a left calf strain and optioned right-hander Trevor Megill to Triple-A Iowa. Righty Tommy Nance was recalled from Iowa, while southpaw Adam Morgan was selected to the big league roster. To create 40-man roster space for Morgan, infielder Matt Duffy was transferred from the 10-day to the 60-day injured list.

What’s up with Duffy? He’s now on the 60 day IL. Initially I thought he needed some rest for a few tweaks.

If he elects FA, he might be worth taking a ml chance on him to see if he can regain what he used to have.

Either the Cubs Athletic guys or the Marquee broadcast mentioned a while ago that whatever it is isn't progressing well.

He's been gone long enough now that throwing him on the 60 day DL doesn't really change much at this point. He's going to need some rehab assignments, and I think he's eligible to come off the 60 like, next week.

July 22, I just read today, so it'll be a while yet. But it sounds like he probably would've been out that long anyway.
