it's always the rule's fault when the cubs blow it, huh. they didnt even lose on the free runner, they lost on the 2nd run.

It isn't the rule's fault that the Cubs lost. It is the rule's fault that extra innings have now become a completely unfulfilling mini-game.

The rule puts relievers into "must be perfect mode" which is utter crap (esp. when mixed with the 3-batter minimum rule)

Yeah, I'm sure if you look on twitter for 5 seconds, you can find people who only complain about the rule after their team loses. But I think most people here who hate the rule, hate it regardless of whether or not the Cubs win the game.

Kyle knocked a run off his ERA and FIP today. And honestly he's missing a few groundballs but otherwise his peripherals are just about where you expect them to be.

Another case where replay is not being decided on indisputable evidence. He was probably safe but called out on the field and there was no way you could prove the ball wasn’t in Rizzo’s glove before the runner touched the bag. Doesn’t mess with the result of the game but still adds a run to Kyle’s era
