Honest question - when is the last time the bears scored 30+ points in 3 straight games before today?

Answered my own question - weeks 2-4 of the 2013 season

By the way, this is only the 3rd time in the last 25 seasons the Bears have scored 30+ points in 3 straight games. The other 2 times were 2013 and 2011. Before that you have to go back to 1995

Yeah, same. At this point you've messed up your draft position badly enough that you might as well make the playoffs, even if you're the worst team there.

Make it as the 7th seed, Mitchy T leads us to an upset in the wild card round (over the Packers?), then has an absolutely terrible performance in a blowout loss in the second round. Maximum chaos.

That would certainly be chaos and would probably ensure Nagy and Pace are retained another year, and Mitch is given an incentive laden 'prove it' contract with the QB position not addressed.

But I agree that while it still makes more sense for the Bears to lose, at a certain point you have to just suck it up and root for some short term enjoyment.

Yeah man, it's tough to admit but sometimes we have to actually root for the teams we enjoy to win the games they are playing.

Sorry for your lack of loss

So if the Eagles beat the Cardinals, the Bears will be holding a playoff spot, right?

It's unreal to me how much some personnel tweaks on the OL and taking the playcalling away from Nagy has changed the offense.

Unreal, but that has to be it.

According to reddit, Cardinals lose today, then next week Bears win plus Vikings and Cardinals lose = Bears clinch a week early.

I said I was sucking it up, and suck it up I did

Sounds right per my OP. bears are 6-5 in conference. Losses the next 2 games for Arizona would have them at 5-6. And the bears win the common games tiebreaker so even if the bears lost week 17 they’d win the tiebreaker

Coward was such ass he just pulled the whole unit down with him.

But this version of the O is even better than the first couple of weeks.

iirc minnesota's defense was hovering around the top 10 in DVOA too.

What’s the scenario with a Cardinals win? Which they will, because the Eagles are crap.

if the Bears win out, the Cardinals have to win out. If they both lose a game, Cardinals are in

Bears are 1 game behind but have the tie breaker

Eagles tie it 26-26 and then go for 2 and miss... what is the point of that?

edit- the only thing I can think of is to stop the other team for matching TDs going forward and going for 2 for the win, but I don't know I'd take the lead first before worrying about that scenario

Also for some reason the Jets are beating the Rams right now, so the Jags might be in the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes next weekend with even more motivation to suck (not sure what the Jets/Jags 1 pick tie breaker is)
