Week 7: Bears at Rams 7:15 MNF on ESPN

Everyone says this. But the defense is fine. Not dominating, but 17 points thru 3 quarters should win games with a normal offense. They've played on half a field most of the game too.

 

Is 6.7 yards per play good? I’m seriously asking. They seem like they have been gashed all game and not just because they are tired, it started from the first drive. Great that they’ve managed to make timely plays to prevent more damage but overall they haven’t looked good to me

 

No it's not good. But even the best defenses aren't going to dominate every game. The 85 Bears allowed 35+ against the Dolphins. The problem is they need to dominate every game to have a chance. The real issue is the offense and only the offense.

 

Sure by no means am I saying the Bears defense is bad overall. Just tonight. And mostly relative to their usual standards

Honestly not a bad idea. He’s obviously doing something right if this team is mostly winning. Must be a players coach. But his playcalling is so head scratching. Delegate that sit and focus on what you are good at

I get that the Bears offensive line sucks and doesn’t open holes for Montgomery but I’m leaning towards him not being good. He struggles to get extra yards even when he’s given space. I just don’t see it
