This is where things get really weird, because the AP poll has removed teams whose conferences announced a postponement to spring. But the B1G appears well on course to resume play in mid October according to several reports. Should be super fun to see how the poll handles just dropping a whole league back in at that point.

South Florida at (7) Notre Dame (2:30 pm, USA)

(14) UCF at Georgia Tech (3:30 pm, ABC)

(17) Miami at (18) Louisville (7:30 pm, ABC)

(19) UL Lafayette at Georgia State (12 pm, ESPN2)

(24) Appalachian State at Marshall (3:30 pm, CBS)

Navy is playing at Air Force now. 6:00 pm, CBSS.

Limited amount of cadets allowed at game.

That is Oct. 3.

I had to double check that because 2020.

My bad. I saw it on the bottom line the other day and just assumed it was this week when i googled it. Carry on!

I'll set the over/under on number of weeks before a game gets canceled due to COVID at 1.5

If the rapid testing is real and works, it shouldn't be a big issue. Hopefully.

I saw a report that Pac-12 presidents are meeting on Friday. I'm sure they'll try their best to hustle back too, but it might be tougher sledding on the West Coast with the more stringent restrictions in place.

Someone with 18k followers saved Big 10 football? Who is this maniac?

you're using the word "saved" fast and loosely...he likely killed a few people in actuality

those are HIS words, not mine, thus my incredulous post.

"About a third of college athletic trainers said their athletes were fully following COVID-19 safety protocols, and less than half reported that coaches and staff were in full compliance, according to a survey conducted by the National Athletic Trainers' Association.

"The survey of about 1,200 athletic trainers across college divisions showed that 59% of respondents said athletes were "somewhat" following COVID-19 protocols, and 46% said coaches and staff were somewhat following safety measures."

Money, money, money above all else, put people's lives in danger in pursuit of the almighty buck. While there's great risk for the players, it's greater for the people around them, I hope it ends well. However, given several addresses at MSU, for example, have been quarantined, I do not have much faith in the players adhering to safety guidelines. And you know there's a whole collection of idiots who are going to attempt a tailgate while deliberately going out their way to be horsefeathering fools.

North Carolina vs Charlotte canceled. Charlotte had one positive case and contact tracing resulted in needing to quarantine basically their entire offensive line.

We're going to see this a lot with G5 and smaller schools. They don't have the resources to test as frequently and don't have the depth to play if a few of their guys are in quarantine.

Nebraska continues to shine throughout this whole mess.

Lost so much respect for Nebraska and their fans. Never seen a fanbase care more about going 5-7 at the risk of people's lives. Not that it would be much better if they were actually good.

Baylor vs Houston, a matchup that was announced last Saturday, was postponed. No one tested positive yet, but several members of one position group at Baylor were exposed to someone who did.

Houston has now had 4 different games postponed and hasn't played yet, and none of them were their fault. Rice postponed because they got COVID, Washington State was wiped out by the Pac-12, Memphis postponed because of COVID, and now Baylor.

From a TV perspective, Fox gave NBC the U.S. Open this year because it was moved to the fall, which is why (along with NBCSN's hockey coverage) Notre Dame is playing on USA, the network's first college football game since 1986. And now despite all of that, Fox has no football game this Saturday.
