2-2 count on Rizzo. He tried checking his swing, but clearly broke the plane. In doing so, he got hit in the arm with the pitch. The home plate umpire deferred to the third base ump on the check swing call, who said "no swing". Vargas lost his mind, the umps conferred, then decided Rizzo was out

I think Coomer has it right, 3B ump wasn’t paying attention. He kind of gave a “time out/foul ball” signal. Not really a “no swing” one.
