Wow, here we go again with this nonsense. Enough of the Kyle Ryan experiment. Need a strikeout from Kintzler here. We aren’t coming back if the Rockies take the lead.

Why is Baez fielding that throw with his left foot on the base

Yeah that was bad footwork, don’t know if it matters on that play, but it always is a pet peeve of mine when guys field throws balls at bags with their glove hand, foot on the bag (non 1B infielders seem to do it a ton).

Because the throw was coming from the inside?

Should pretty much always field a throw at a base with your throwing hand foot on the base, IMO.

Kintzler coming in with a guy on 3B and less than 2 outs seems like a stupid decision.

Does Joe have many options, especially in the 6th?

As down as I get on this team, I still marvel at your bizarre declarations.

I was surprised when he wrote this would be a big collapse........the Cubs were up 3-0 in the sixth inning and Schwarbs made it seem like it was Game 6 all over again.

I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong and others agreed.

If the out at 2nd is a foregone conclusion I can see the argument that it makes for a faster turn, but that play was so slow developing that you have to prioritize getting an out.

I didn't realize this guy has only thrown 59 pitches til now, but Rizzo don't give a horsefeathers. Too bad that errant ball didn't hit Ricketts
