If i had to go out on a limb, I'd say the Bears draft: Safety, RB, OL, kicker, OLB.

Those are some really healthy roster needs, four relatively easy and cheap positions to fill + basic OL depth wants and needs. I'd always suggest drafting more valuable/expensive positions like more CBs, more pass rushers, more WR talent, more OL, plus an annual QB and buying in FA at 4/5 of those positions listed.

Not that it's predictive yet necessarily, but Paces history:

QB-1

RB-3

WR-4

TE-1

OT-1

G/C-4

DT/DE-2

OLB-2

ILB-3

CB-0

S-5

K/P-0

Generally, I agree with this. But the Bears only have 1 top 100 pick. And they just drafted players late at WR, pass rusher and brought in the top UDFA CB.

I really don't want them to draft a kicker though, and a priority FA at QB would be ideal.

They need starters at SS, nickel, punter and kicker. They need rotational depth (backups that will need to see the field) at interior OL and OLB. They need to develop long-term depth pieces at WR, CB, OT, DL and TE.

So, I think they will sign 1 FA DB, whether it's Callahan, Amos, or someone from outside. They'll draft whichever DB starter they don't sign early (maybe with their 3rd, definitely by the 4th). They'll probably draft a RB. After that, I think they can go anywhere. If they go with a veteran backup pass rusher, they could just stay with Fitts and Irving for another year. If they go with a veteran backup OG in free agency, they can probably skip that position in the draft for a year.

I'm wondering if Callahan comes out being more expensive than Amos and that the Bears re-sign Amos as a result and draft a nickel corner in the 3rd or 4th. I hope not but they may have to financially.

Taking a look at recent draft rankings, there's only one CB ranked in the 3rd to 4th round, but 3 safeties are ranked in the 80-90 range, right when the Bears will have their first pick...

Is priority FA another way of saying UDFA? I'm unfamiliar with that lingo.

Yeah. Priority guys though are the ones that typically have a lot of teams vying for their services and have multiple offers. Usually guys that had draftable grades.

The dream is dead, Robbie has been franchised by the 49ers.

It's non-exclusive so we can get him if the Bears are willing to give up 2 1st rounders!

just get gostkowski

I would love this, we have a mutual friend that I've been able to attend a lot of football games with over the years thanks to friends and family tickets. Great guy, not to mention he's a really good kicker.

This guy was a sub 70% college kicker. Woof.
69.6

Robbie Gould was 63.9 in college. 16-29 in his final 2 seasons
