The 3 days rest thing, (is it accurate?), is a big deal

Ask Corey Kluber about Game 7.

Yes I know he shut us down in Game 4 on short rest and I don’t give a horsefeathers.

And this Freeland guy isn’t Corey Kluber

I always attributed that to starting on short rest twice in a row. Meh

And they lost that series because they were unable to sweep us.

This might be awful to say, but I’d rather lose tomorrow than win, and lose in the nlds to the brewers. Going to school in Madison, I have far too many friends who are brewers fans and I don’t think I could handle it.

Today has been rough for people like you and I, and I'm struggling to deal with it.

My main goal is for the Brewers to not win it all. And.........I sort of think the Cubs have a better chance to beat them than the Rockies. So I have to take the chance we lose by taking the chance that we have a better chance to knock them out, even though we'd have to win every game 1-0.

Keep the faith, I’m in the same boat as both

(I will say despite them detesting the cubs, they were gracious and actually seemed genuinely happy for me at least in 2016. I’m probably either not as good of a person or not as fake of a person as the congrats we’re texted and I couldn’t see/hear tone/sincerity)

I got congratulated by all of them in 2016, but it was fake as horsefeathers. I'm positive about it. There is no way Brewers fans were happy for us. None. Zero.

So, you are just as good of a person as them. Actually, better. You are a horsefeathering Cubs fan.

horsefeathers, now I'm riled up again. horsefeathers the Brewers.

ETA: Although no matter what, we won another title before they won their first. So horsefeathers off.

I only have 5ish friends who are actual fans I’d say and them some family. The rest are extremely casual and only pay attention around the last month when the Brewers are good (which obviously isn’t often). All but 1 were cheering for the Cubs in 2016..... that being said horsefeathers them all, crush them in the DS and I’ll be rooting for the Rockies if it’s not us there.

The problem is it's not just friends. It's everywhere. At work, I hear them talking about the Brewers. Outside of work, I hear people talking about the Brewers.

I don't have any experience with hating any other fan base than this one. The Brewers ruin my baseball enjoyment because of my obsession of hoping they lose throughout the season and my panic attacks of them possibly making the playoffs.

I got some real issues.

They've already beat us once. What's one more time? Let's settle the score.

Oh yeah I get that too. I just try and block it out and know most of them really don’t care and are casual fans at best and the Brewers exist to pass their time until Packer Season.

Yea no horsefeathering way in hell any of them were rooting for the cubs nor am I rooting for the brewers ever. I may be inclined to believe that they were moderately sincere in being happy for me since they are some of my best friends in the world. I’m sure they were rooting against the whole time though.

horsefeathers em, nothing would be sweeter than crushing their spirits at wrigley north.

I live in Denver so I’ll def be rooting for the Rockies if we lose. It’d be fun to go to a playoff game here at coots and root against the brewers

If you're telling me either way we're going to lose, then yeah, I'd rather just get it over with tomorrow. But I'd much rather win tomorrow and take my chances in the NLDS. The Brewers aren't some juggernaut. We can beat them and I want another shot.

Plus, even though I wanted the Cards to win a game in that series, a part of me does appreciate the Brewers just wiping them out. I just wish the Cards would have won one of the first two games because it sucked some of the enjoyment out of that dude getting snipered going around third in the final game.

Don't get me wrong, though, I'll definitely be rooting for the Rockies if we lose tomorrow.
