Needs it’s own thread because if the Cubs lose tomorrow we are going to have a boring ass 2 weeks waiting for this one.

As was stated in last week’s game thread, Acho is out for the year.

I believe after the bye the Bears play the entire AFC East over the following 4 weeks starting with a game in Miami against Gase

Trubisky will throw three more TD passes despite not having an opponent.

More likely that Mack gets a sack and forced fumble this weekend.

3 toughest games left (NE, LAR, GB) are all at home. Nothing else seems particularly tough. As speculated the Bears SoS always was weaker than it looked based on last years records, though Min looking weak to this point also helps a lot.

We're going to roll Green Bay in round 2

there was some talk that he left upset without talking to reporters on sunday. others just said he left without talking to reporters (sans the upset part).

i love seeing where the bears are on this coupled with them basically having been the most dominant defense in the league to this point.

I wonder which of LAR or GB home games get flexed to SNF

Could the Patriots game?

Currently it's Rams and a JimmyG-less 49ers team.

I don't see a more compelling matchup that Sunday as of right now than Bears Patriots.

Just as long as it's not the Bears/Dolphins next week, since I'm flying down there for the game. Can't imagine the Chiefs/Patriots gets moved, but I'd still like to see Miami look like trash Sunday.

I don't think they can flex games until like week 11. But i could be wrong.

Edited. It can be done as early as week5

They can begin in Week 5:

Each of the NFL’s 32 teams play 16 games over 17 weeks. Byes begin in Week 4 and end in Week 12. “Flexible scheduling” will be used in Weeks 11-17, while no more than two games during Weeks 5-10 may be flexed.

In Weeks 5-16, games tentatively set for Sunday Night Football on NBC can be replaced by Sunday afternoon games, with the tentatively scheduled night game moving to an earlier start. Flexible scheduling moves will be announced at least 12 days before the game.

"Blitz" by their metrics is rushing more than 4. So, zone blitzes don't actually count as blitzes. Therefore the sacks by Trevathan and Smith, which were done while rushing 4, don't count as blitzes.

That being said, I'd love to see their numbers when rushing 5 or more. Has to be insane if 1 of those 5 is Mack.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000968874/article/oakland-raiders-jon-gruden-earns-first-win-in-almost-10-years

OAKLAND -- As he readied his game face for what he hoped would be his first NFL head-coaching victory in exactly nine years and 10 months, Jon Gruden sat in the coaches' area of the home locker room at the Oakland Coliseum on Sunday morning, scrolled through his cell phone and got some decidedly disturbing news.

"Damn -- Khalil Mack had another strip sack?" Gruden asked rhetorically, shaking his head at the Oakland Raiders assistant coaches in his midst. "Are you ... kidding me?"

Two hours before the Raiders and Cleveland Browns would engage in an epic overtime clash in front of 53,387 drained and delighted fans, Gruden knew the score: With a 10-year, $100-million contract, an 0-3 record and his fingerprints all over the trade that rid his roster of one of the league's premier defenders, he had gone from presumed Silver and Black savior to the football world's bright red bullseye in a manner of months. This latest Mack Attack was, in a figurative sense, another body blow to the head coach who shipped him out of town.

Thank god the Bears aren't a dumpster fire anymore and can get me through the winter but this is really bad timing for a bye, damn it.

Anyway,

Bears move from 27th to 20th in offense with last week's performance, which vaulted them to #2 overall.

Is the overall counting ST as well? Must be pretty high there.
