Finally, a game that takes place during the day. But still not a nooner (1pm for us coastal elites). Chicago brings a truly dangerous defense out west to face a team that has scored a grand total of 6 points this season. Presumably, this would be the game when Sam Bradford suffers his annual injury. The Bears are 6 point favorites on a road, which points to a lot of gambling faith in them. They are 2-0 ATS this year. The playoffs are very much in play right now. There are no teams in the NFC North with more wins, there are only 2 teams in the entire NFC with 2 wins. This should be a win. Hopefully Mitch can pull it together and make it a laugher.

The Cardinals have to at least be discussing starting Rosen right? Bradford is complete garbage.

I would guess they don't want his first game against this defensive line.

when this DL gets a hold of the paper cutout named Bradford, we may see Rosen regardless.

lost in the curmudgeonry of yesterdays performance is the fact that Mitch is getting better: a nearly 75% completion rate against the Seahawks. baby steps that I'm sure we all wish were giant steps.

That isn't because he is getting better. That's because they stopped letting him throw anything other than 6-yard curls and screens.

both his QB rating and QBR improved as well. If we are going to bemoan him on small sample sizes then we need to acknowledge him on small sample sizes as well.

Yikes Arizona getting Rams then Bears back to back can't be fun... did I hear correctly that Arizona took one snap in LA territory and that was the last play of the game?

Road team has won every game in this series this century (6 games). Bears have only lost once in Arizona (5 games) ever. The only game in the last 5 to be within 3 scores since 2001 between these two teams was the signature game by the 2006 Bears defense where they were exactly who Dennis Green thought they were before the Cardinals let them off the hook.

Do we remember the Bradford game last year? It was fun (the Bradford part, not the losing the game part). It was also the last time he saw the field in 2017. 2 weeks, two opposing QB's on the injury report. Pretty sure Bradford is having some sleepless nights this week.

So, um, this game is happening today.

Bears are a 5-point favorite on the road, which would be kinda cool if it wasn't for the fact that the Cardinals have lost their first two games by a combined score of 58-6. Now it feels kind of insulting. Laying the points and taking the under on 40.5 points both feel like excellent bets.

Counterpoint: with both Mn and GB losing handily, the Bears could find themselves on-top if the NFC no matter the horsefeathering spread

ETA: NFC Central

This is the Sliders bit where I show up in my home universe after a crazy week, look at the NFL scoreboard and see 24-0 Bills, and keep moving on because that's obviously not right.
