Man, remember when teams would have been horsefeathering TERRIFIED over that reversed call and then having to face Bryant? Now they're probably mildly annoyed, like they don't get to start the next inning with the pitcher at the plate.

Had a lot of good PAs in the 1st, got Strasburg to throw 22 pitches (Pat and Ron thought he’d only throw 100 tonight) and here comes Almora to hack at the first pitch.

I have no idea what the numbers say but it sure seems like we make awful contact in hitters counts very often. Like that willy 3-1 count there.

I was just thinking that he was having a good at bat and then he swings at that

It's insane how rarely it seems like Almora even sees 3 pitches in an AB.

If he qualified, he'd have the second lowest pitches per plate appearance at 3.3. Andrelton Simmons at 3.27, though Almora almost triples his K rate.

Then again, Javy is 4th lowest at 3.36, so maybe it's not necessary for success.

Lol just kidding Javy is a baseball freak who rules don't apply to.

The last homer by Contreras was Aug 1st. We were already up 7-1 at the time. His last homer before that was when Lester got smoked by the Cardinals. Those were his only 2 since the break.

His last homer that meant something was July 4th when he broke a 2-2 tie in the 6th vs the Tigers.

Yeah that’s the problem with his profile. It carries such little value. He strikes out too much to be such a contacty guy like Simmons and he doesn’t have power to make up for the Ks and awful profile like Javy.

Baez every time he walks to the plate:

And then there's Addison Russell...

Too much of a boy for Busttown, and too busty for Boystown.

I'm just hoping we can convince other teams that he sucks because he was injured this year, when it truth, he just sucks.
